Junior Tennis

We have a full Junior Programme for all those budding Wimbledon Stars here at Birkenhead Tennis Club!

Junior Night

Our coaching team supervise our popular Monday Junior Night when the kids take over the all the courts. The night includes fun games, coaching and matches and the all important tuck shop at break time. Parents are always welcome in our fully stocked bar to relax while the kids play on the courts.

Our Junior Night runs all year round (excluding Dec, Jan and Feb when it is extremely cold).

Coaching Programme

As well as the successful Junior Night we run a structured coaching programme for all levels of Juniors. These sessions are for any juniors wishing to develop their tennis, they are still fun sessions but include technical and tactical games and drills. Our coaching programme runs with a maximum of 8 players to one coach, less for the Mini Tennis Red Groups.

Our Coaching Programme runs with the school terms and is paid on a termly basis.

Individual Coaching

For any juniors wishing to develop this tennis further then our team of tennis coaches offer individual coaching arranged at your convenience.

Competitions

We have teams in the junior AEGON Leagues, Monkhouse Shield and the club holds tournaments as part of the Cheshire Circuit. Talk to any of the coaches if you would like to get involved.

All Junior Tournament run of Saturdays from 10.45 am start at Birkenhead Lawn Tennis Club. A child's age at that date determines their eligibility for competitions for example if they are 12 on 31st March 2011 they play in under 12 yrs competitions.
